SecureBat! is the answer. I use it. The mail is all stored encrypted.
The mail system cannot be accessed without the hardware key device. It
is *totally* secure. It has only recently been completed so its
availability is a bit ... well, unclear right now, but I know that it
will be available to the public *very* soon.
