Hello everybody,
I'm in trouble. Since the version around 1.52-1.53 my TheBat is crashing every
few minutes, giving me error messages. After clicking on the "OK" button it
closes itself.
Please don't think I'm being ignorant here since I don't care too much about the
version numbers, it's just that I have been spoiled by TheBat's perfect
performance for so long.
I've just kept upgrading out of a true habit, not thinking too much about it.
I'm not a power user, I just love the interface, filtering, other basic
functions, and until now - stability. Oh, well...
My PC is a Celeron 433, 128 MB RAM, 10 GB HD, 16 MB video memory on a Matrox
Marvel G400 TV. Windows 98 SE
Running in the background:
PC Cillin, TurboNote, Window Blinds, Zone Alarm, RamPage, Logtime.
This system otherwise doesn't crash.
Everything is virus checked daily. Anti-virus pattern updated every few days, as
often as PC Cillin has it available on their site.
Please allow me to describe just a few of the error messages. Here's my
correspondence with Alexander Leschinsky ( TheBat bug repport staff ) first:

Downloaded, installed as usual over the old version, but it still crashes.
I've got several error windows while downloading my messages, it finished and
first after clicking OK to all the windows that poped up TheBat crashed -
closed itself.
Window1:
"Acces violation in the module TheBat.exe at address BFB24153. Read of
address 75500002"
Window2:
"Access violation at BFF25397. Read of addreess FFFFFFFFFF.."
I like my Bat too much so that this could drive me away from it but I would
appreciate if you guys took a look at the cause of these crashes.
I've never had these problems before ( if I remember well ) the version
1.53f.

Since installing the 1.53d:
Today my TheBat crashes with messages like this one:
"Exception EAccess Violation in module THEBAT.EXE at BFB24153"
"Access violation at address BFF25397. Read of address FFFFFFFF"
When trying to write a new message, the following poped up:
"Unable To Replace Image"
Clicking on the "OK" gave me many popups with the same text:
"Access violation at address 005A6C64"
I couldn't click as fast as those windows poped up so I terminated TheBat
myself with Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
Anybody else having similar problems ?
