Hello Eduard,

*hmmm * What about a QuickTemplate called 'date' with content
"%DATESHORT %TIMELONG"
??? So you'll be able to type in 'date' plus <Ctrl>+Spacebar and the current
date / time gets inserted :-)

EF> Or another one for counting the characters of the message just sent.

*hmmm* dunno a way to do this right know, but this idea leads me to a
philosophic question: the number of characters in the message, should that
contain only characters in text part and ignore 'multipart' parts and
attachments? What are 'only text' parts? Theoretically it's possible to have
multiple text-parts in a message. What about text/plain attachments? Count
too?
And the most philosophic question: 'count of characters in the message' WITH
the characters that represent the count or without?

E.g.: Message contains only "Hello" -> char count is: 5
Adding a line "This message contains 5 characters" make the message contain 39
characters (incl. spaces) plus 1 or two invisible characters, the line ends
... This is something recursive, because the '5' would turn to 39 what would
make the message 1 more character, so it must be 40 ... You see my problem?

What could make sense is an additional header "SIZE" or "CONTENT-LENGHT" that
represents the size of the message in bytes ... but as my POP-Toaster
calculates the size of a message by it's own and I can check it in the message
list or while dispatching mail where's no real need of that for me.

Last point that comes to my mind right now is: what about PGP/SMIME signing?
If this content becomes inserted before the sign is done I could do it
manually / by QT, if it should be added automatically after TB! _recognizes_ I
send the message it _must_ be _after_ signing, and that would destroy the
signature ... So all in all I don't think it's agood idea and worse the work
and time to implement such think, but nevertheless: nice idea, it show's
TB!-users _think_ about their product and not just use it as dumb users :-)
