The concept behind two accounts is to set every account separately. that's about all there is. think of it as using different programmes for different dial-ups (or whatever connection there is). Following your questions and the answers I think the problem lies either in one specific setting in your Transport tab or something on your ISP's side. To sort it out, we have to do it step by step: 1. You can send and receive through DUN, I suppose? So there, everything is alright. 2. You can do one but not the other on cable. Which one does *not* function? 3. AFAIUI, cable is more comparable to LAN than to DUN. So you may have to change something under Options/Network & Administration 4. Put both - POP and SMTP servers - in the appropriate fields in the Transport tab for *both* accounts. Also put in the correct e-mail addresses under To and Reply-to (this depends on your ISP's policies for "relaying"). 5. So far, so good. Now you should be able to send and receive with both accounts. 5a. For mailing lists - which depend on your correct e-mail address - you will have to make do with your slow DUN, hope that you can use the subscription address with the other ISP or re-subscribe. As you can see, I don't have the ultimate solution for you, but perhaps we can all together find one by using the analytic method. - -- Dierk Haasis http://www.Write4U.de PGP keys available: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=SendMyPGPkeys The Bat 1.54 Beta/9 on Windows 95 4.0 1212 C Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for your actions. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.5.8ckt Comment: Privacy is the core element to Freedom! iQA/AwUBO7x7K/To1oA8g8dLEQIj9gCguCvUgUZilYVZbCLESZoP6VR6OAgAn31N KKkwTUTlW8V1hJ6izwiv0J5e =2wNB -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- ________________________________________________________ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com
