AFAIK 2.0 is work in progress. You can't just port a program like TB onto C++ like that - it's a lot of work which the developers have to do. Besides bug-fixing and everything else on the current versions, that is. Maybe they won't release 2.0 as just another version number but instead follow the unix-procfeedings: don't release a new major version until bugs have been fixed and it includes everything that was meant to be included. Some companies release a new GUI with basically the same code behind it and give it a new version number. They will even go as far as making people pay for that. I'm happy that TB is not one of these programs.
