I think it means to say that but it is incorrect in doings so. V2 is 100% definitely in Delphi 6. I suspect that 1.54 beta 10e is the first public beta of the Delphi 6 build, but that's a pure guess. As to the "dead animal" theory, the fact is that much of the feature set slated for v2 has been added to the mainstream 1.xx series since 1.42.
