Hello List,

On Wednesday, 28. November 2001 at 18:14:56 I wrote:

[a lot of stuff]

and now I figured out what's going on.

Starting Outlook make it registering itself in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\{Default}

This is what MAPI is based on.

Stopping Outlook make the program rewriting the value that was before
Outlook registered itself, so it is a temporary registration.

That's the reason TB! moans over here.

As this is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" it also could be what Roman wrote
about Users & Administrators, I'm starting Outlook as user but with
extended rights therefor I'm allowed to change this key, Geoff maybe
not.

So it's not a bug, at least not in TB! and at least not on my machine.

Geoff: you may want to have a look at the above mentioned registry key
and tell us what is written there for further investigations?

Thx and bye

Pit
