One more thing comes to mind concerning fixed pitch fonts (if I like
or not does not matter):

   Lots of publishers and agencies want manuscripts in a certain
   format using fixed pitch fonts (in Germany mostly Courier). This
   again has a historical reason, their respective paying conditions
   are based upon the number of MS pages (30 lines � 60 characters,
   incl. blanks). Even with Word, especially with Word this is not
   achievable with variable pitch fonts.

I bring this point up, because R�mi like me works as a translator. And
if French clients are not very different from German ones, he should
know this.
