- Open The Bat! Address book.
- make sure "View" / "Certificate Databases" is enabled.
- if address books are still not shown:
- Close The Bat!
- Go to your main working dir
("Options" / "Preferences" / "System" / "Mail Directory")
- There's a file named 'ADDRBOOK.INI' located.
- Open it in a simple text editor.
- search for section '[Profile]'
- search for 'Address Books=xx' with 'xx' any integer value
- there should be 'xx' values named 'Address Book #xx'
- alter 'Address Books=xx' to 'Address Books={eval(xx+2)}'
- add two address book values:
Address Book #{eval(xx+1)}=IntermCA.ABD
Address Book #{eval(xx+2)}=RootCA.ABD
- if these entries (IntermCA.ABD & RootCA.ABD) already existed check
the count for address books in 'Address Books=xx' with current
'Address Book #xx=' values.
- make sure the 'Address Book #xx' entries are continues increasing
numbered and the highest number the equal to the one in 'Address
Books=xx'
- save the .ini file (make make a backup just to be sure?!)
- start The Bat!
- enjoy the revival of your CA-address-books :-)

It is now pitch dark. If you proceed, you will likely fall into a pit.
