OK, here is some more on my "won't shut down problem". I uninstalled Zone Alarm, no difference. I ran REG cleaner, no difference. I ran scan disk, no difference. I ran McAffee optimization programs, no difference. I defragged, no difference.
I still get THE BAT error message, "Invalid Argument to Date Encode". I'm all ears!
