I see your logic, I guess, but disagree. If a non-programmer using OE
or Outlook or AOL is writing an email, they would not think of coding
the site, nor should they.
One could, I suppose, say that's fine, but then the URL shouldn't need
to be hot. While that might be true, (a) Internet-related pages have
evolved to contain, and are expected to contain, hot links, and (b)
it's inconsistent with the way that the text viewer itself works in
TB! A non-coded URL will be hot in the text viewer.
