I know Marck will consider my response meaningless, because it's a justification of why I use the "response-above-quote" method sometimes :-) I like this format if more than a few lines are being quoted, because every email, when opened or previewed, shows you the top bit of it first. If you're following a thread & don't need to review what has been said before, you're right there, with the new information. If the response is below the quoted text, you have to scroll down past the stuff you've already read in order to read the new stuff. Mostly a couple of lines of quoted text is adequate, but occasionally it's necessary to quote a bit more. In those cases, I like the response at the top. So basically I vary the way I do things, depending on how much I need to quote, & whether I can respond in one chunk of text or need to intersperse my response throughout the original email, because this is what I find easier to read when I receive it. What was that Allie was saying about "for the convenience of the recipient"? :-) Deborah who thought thrice about disagreeing with Marck when he's always been so helpful :-) ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60q FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://bt.ritlabs.com
