Jonathan, Thanks for your comments and from others as well.
Since this has occurred several times I have some information on the problem. I can't yet see a pattern but here's what I know so far: - The Bat! gets stuck downloading a message. I note the message number. - I open a browser and go into my mailbox via the web. - I find the message and look at it. Usually there is nothing special about it. I can read it fine. On several occasions it has been from this group. - I go into the dispatcher and delete the offending message. I guess I could try to download the message in Outlook Express, which I still have on my system. If it worked though, what would that tell me? I already know that the message is OK. I assume that since others aren't noticing this happening regularly then it's not a major bug. I'm happy to do a little more research on this if someone knows what I should do with the results.
