Only that I don't think your problem is TB! related and only that TB!
has suffered as a result of it. Sending messages to Dell tech support
is more the way to go.

I don't know how old your Dell is but mine has a hard disk diagnostic
included in the BIOS. I hit CTRL+ALT+D when the machine is just
starting up and this will start the HD diagnostics. It was it that
alerted me to an impending hard disk failure when I started having
strange problems which included losing access to one of my TB! message
bases which was deleted upon running a check disk.
