Making the change here can be tricky. You shouldn't do so from
within the TB! interface. When you do it from within the TB!
interface, TB! will move what it feels is your present mail location
to the new one you defined. You need to make the adjustment in a way
that would make TB! act as if your change was always what it was
using.

You therefore need to shutdown TB! and open the registry.

Just type regedit.exe

Go to HKey_Current_User/Software/rit/The Bat! and look for the entry
in the list:

"Working Directory"

See http://www.landscreek.net/pics/workdir.png

The working directory is where all your accounts and common folders
are stored. By default it's at "C:\Program Files\The Bat!\Mail" .

Make sure that this path corresponds to yours.

Now go to HKey_Current_User/Software/rit/The Bat!/Users Depot

Here you will see entries for all your accounts.

Dir#1, is the path to your User#1, i.e., your first account. The
account name is there so you will see the pattern to the entries.

See http://www.landscreek.net/pics/userdepot.png for a capture of
my users depot entries.

Now:

If all your accounts are within your working directory, as they are
in mine, then the directory entries do not need to have values. If
you delete the values, TB! will look for them in their default
locations.

When you're finished, redo what Marck outlined you should and then
restart TB!. You should then have piece.

Of course you should backup before making changes to the registry,
i.e., your TB! configuration. Don't worry. Your machine will not
stop working if you do something wrong in the TB! entries. It's just
that TB! may stop working correctly. Backup the TB! key by selecting
and right clicking the 'RIT' key. Choose 'export' from the context
menu. To restore from backup, just fire up regedit and import your
backup using File/Import menu item.

Hope this helps.
