Yes, I think people are wonderful about answering the questions
that newcomers might pose, if the newcomers are willing to
surface.  But many threads are way over their heads or of no
interest to a beginner who is attempting to learn the very basics
of the program, isn't into ascii art, HTML, signature keys, etc.
Certainly, the delete key is available, but a lot of beginners
are going to give up the ship before it even pulls away from
shore.
