I'm a great-grandma, been working with the internet and email
since 1991, I am not in business, I am interested in protection
since I probably interact with about 200,000 genealogy
researchers, many of whom are not sophisticated enough to protect
themselves. Because I run a number of mailing lists devoted to
genealogy research world-wide, it made a lot of sense for me to
move to TB. It doesn't make sense for me to send the unwashed
masses who currently are not protecting themselves to this
program although I think they would greatly benefit. But they
cannot dive into this without attending TB Kindergarten. I was
willing, but even then I did not cut the umbilical cord to OE for
four months, downloading mail to TB but not deleting on the
server, downloading mail to OE with server deletions, until I was
comfortable that I knew what the devil I was doing with TB (if
any of us ever reach total comfort, let me know).

In the meantime, every instance of a worm/virus hitting my inbox
reminds me once again of the unwashed masses comprised of mainly
retirees who populate the internet email system and how, in their
innocence, they are as much involved in the propagation of worms
and viruses as the creators. Although, to be honest, I think many
of mine have come from business addresses and people who should
know a lot better.

I think TB is missing a BIG market for its product.

Elaine
