I have a configuration booting Win98, WinXP and Redhat 7.2 using
no additional boot-software. Just the NT boot loader.

Redhat also comes with "grub" (you can get it separately for
free) which is supposed to be nice and user-friendly. And if you
really want to pull your hair out - it can be done with Lilo.
