You can't backup just the templates and the not the other account
properties for synchronisation.

I guess the reasoning here is that if you wish to synchronize two
accounts then they are usually identical, i.e., use the same POP
account and SMTP server etc.

I see what you mean though.

Interesting question. I've never been in such a situation personally
to see how that is handled. My guess though is that TB! installation
being updated will still download the mail on the server.
