Check whether this is always true. Is "sender" the group? I believe in
this group, it isn't.

I filter ML's on the Reply-To or the mailing list header.

Your replies to the list will come in through the list anyway, and
will be caught by the filter on the list. Your outgoing message stays
in the Sent folder, unless you filter it (on the TO address) into the
list messages folder. But then, you would have your replies twice:
once from your sending, and once again from your Sent folder. I leave
messages sent to lists in the Sent folder and purge on basis "older
than 3 days". By that time, the message should have come in via the
list.

If everything worked fine and suddenly doesn't, I suspect there is an
typing mistake involved.

This is the Fido-net word for "Header". Shift-cntrl-K will show the
headers of any incoming message to you.

Outgoing: after the message is sent and is moved from the Outbox.
Read: after you have first opened the message, and then gone to the
next.
Replied: after the Reply has been saved to the Outbox.

No. After they are sent, the *outgoing* message is filtered. No need
for a return as copy.

Once you have understood the logic behind the filters, you will decide
this by yourself. One more tip: The filters are applied from top to
bottom. So if two filters apply for a message, the higher one is
applied first. If that is a MOVE filter, and the other one colours the
message, it won't be coloured.
