You apparently send the incoming messages to the folder with a filter.
In that filter, set "Ply Sound" under the Action tab.

You mean crtl-], I suppose. Whether it should move you to new messages
also across folders or not, and whether it should beep or not when it
does so, can be chosen under Options / Preferences / Message List /
"When moving..." (the drop down box).
