Dear all, we are attempting to use TheBat (v 1.62) to a secure
IMAP server at the university campus.
I dont know how many hours I have lost in this matter. There is
no way I can connect. I have tested all of the alternatives but
it wont go.
Netscape Mail and Outlook Express are really lousy programs but
they do this automatically (exchange certificates and connect to
the IMAP secure server *flawlessly*).
I have exported the certificates (both mine and the one from the
university server) from IExplorer, imported them to TheBat and
put them into the Trusted address book. I attempted to connect
either through IMAP on port 995 or POP3 on port 993 and have used
all of the alternativa/combinations given by TheBat. Nogo. Nogo.
Could you advice, please, on what I should do ?
To me, it is amazing how this can be done automatically on lousy
email programs and it is -->> so << -- difficult to do with TheBat.
The mailserver is aguayro.ulpgc.es or aguayro.gestion.ulpgc.es
Please, don tell me "ask your sysop" because they just deny the
possibility to use other email programs then the ones they chose.
Any help will be *mostly* appreciated. Thank you.
Merry xmas to all.
Cheers,
APS
