Following on, I was playing around with groups and privileges and I
noticed that my default account, i.e. the *real* administrator, was
not listed.

My curiosity got the better of me and I started scouring the Registry
looking for clues. That was no help but then I found a file called
userdept.ini. I had a quick look at its contents and it didn't seem
quite right. It was as follows:

[Users]
Count=5
User #1=Barry
Dir #1=
User #2=Mutex
Dir #2=
User #3=Kentra Default
Dir #3=
User #4=Hotmail
Default=Barry
Dir #4=
User #5=Compuserve
Dir #5=

You'll notice that the Default entry was between the User#4 and Dir #4
lines. I don't know if this is relevant or not but I changed the file
as follows:

[Users]
Count=5
Default=Barry
User #1=Barry
Dir #1=
User #2=Mutex
Dir #2=
User #3=Kentra Default
Dir #3=
User #4=Hotmail
Dir #4=
User #5=Compuserve
Dir #5=

And, guess what, my default account now lists correctly in the
privileges tab of the Network settings dialog.

Now, why was that line *apparently* in the wrong place, and does it
matter?

Is this a possible bug?

Perhaps someone who's more in the know than I am might care to
respond?
