Phil- If you really get desperate you could try telnetting to claranet's server on the smtp port and try sending a HELO or EHLO message. I just tried it and got in without a problem.
telnet claranet.com 25 EHLO 1.2.3.4 Of course, if this is something that used to work and has just recently started failing, I would poke around in the account settings to see what's changed lately. Have you changed the authentication method? Even if you find out what's going on with the EHLO command, you're not going to have much control over what gets sent out... -Mark Wieder Using The Bat! v1.63 Beta/4 on Windows 2000 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2 -- ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
