It seems to occur when the original message is longer than a screen, but
trimming reduces it to beneath a screen long, but the view does not (for
whatever reason) scroll up to show the whole message replied to. My feeling is
its related to a missing or flubbed check to see whether the viewing window
should be moved upwards after trimming.
