yes, it's possible. But you have to hack it into your account
settings manually. Follow this steps:

1. Close The Bat!
2. Open C:\Program Files\The Bat!\Mail\Shortcut.CFG in
   your favorite Hex-Editor. (e.g. XVI32
   <http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm>)
3. Search for "MMNEXTUNREAD"
4. Go behind "MMNEXTUNREAD" and replace the following two bytes with
   (in hex) "4E 00" (it's a "N" in ASCII followed with an ASCII 0)
5. Save Shortcut.CFG (make a backup!) and start The Bat!
