Hi all I'm developing a bandwidth limiter for POP3 (I haven't find any similar for free by now), useful for The Bat! as well as any other POP3 client. It is very simple as I do not plan to release it, but I want to know if it could be useful for other people too so I would develope it a little more. I can develope a SMTP bandwidth limiter too, although I do not need it.
I have to share my bandwidth with more people and sometimes I collapse the Internet connection for several minutes when downloading my email. Now I can set a limit and The Bat! will never exceed that limit. This limit apply for each account, so if two accounts are to be checked, you cannot specify "10 kB/s for the sum of both" but you must say "10 kB/s for each". It is quite a hard limitation, but I do not plan to complicate further than this. If you find this useful, let me know and we'll see...
