Hello Stuart and Melissa,

Thank you both for your suggestions. I used both the Shift-Cntrl +/-
to expand and contract grouped messages (grouped using Vasily's
suggestion of View > View thread by > References).

Both commands worked quite well.

However, I was unsuccessful in being able to read one message right
after another. Yes, the up, down, right arrow keys worked in the sense
of moving from one message to another IN THE GROUPED LIST itself, but,
after opening the first message in the list and after having read it,
to simply move to the next message (with it "spontaneously" opening to
be read) is/was a non-event/a no-go. Perhaps I am failing to describe
my problem adequately, so let's say you open a message in your inbox,
then you select the "Next" icon option. It has been my experience that
the next message will automatically open and present itself to be
read. The Subject field of these messages aren't necessarily even
related ... simply messages received in a certain order.

What I would like to do is simply select a message (either grouped per
se via the Search Tool or the View by thread option) and be able to do
the same thing ... having no luck thus far, so I have to assume PEBCAK
(Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard) since it seems like you
folks don't have this problem.

Thanks Melissa for the detailed suggestions ... and you are certainly
correct when you state there are more than one way to achieve an
objective. BYW, I agree with your suggestion re: a toggle ON/OFF
switch for reading emails ON/OFF line. This functionality has nothing
to do with whether one has broadband or dial-up.

I'll keep trying on my end. Maybe I'm close and am just missing
something ... but just don't know it. Yeah, right. LOL.

Take care y'all.
