On the 'genaral' tab of the AB properties Gave the AB a name On the 'LDAP' tab check 'this AB is associated....' enter the server address and port number use '*' as search base I used an LDAP server I had to log on, so I entered authentication data On consulting the LDAP AB I had to enter a search condition. My favorite search string was @ in the address.
