What exactly is this TLS? Never heard of it. Is the practise of blocking other SMTP servers common among North American ISPs? What's the sense of it? Sympatico says it's "to protect their customers", which sound like BS to me. I guess they kind of want to force me to use their email address which binds me closer to the provider. But it doesn't work for all those hotmail/outlook users anyway.
