Bell Canada has this policy, though they don't seem to really know what they're doing, since their tech-support told me there was only *one* smtp server & then gave me its details, which differed from the details given to me when I signed up for an account, & since although they wouldn't let me use anything but their smtp servers to send mail when I was connected through them, they do still now allow me to send mail through their smtp servers (even though my account with them was cancelled three months ago)! -- Deborah Those who sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither.
