Threatening to leave is not a very strong argument, is it? In addition, it would be shooting in my own foot "if you don't make this a newsgroup, I will leave". I don't think people would be very impressed and I would deprive myself from a source of information. A source that comes for free. I don't feel it very appropriate to come with demands or threats. Having said that, I just note that a newsgroup would make the information provided by this list more useful and accessible to me. Someone mentioned a gateway or mirror. That sounded the best solution to me, it would cater for both desires.
