Make sure that you have an address book enabled as the default for adding/delete addresses in that way. So open the address book and right click on the address book you wish to add addresses to. Go in the properties and enable: "Use this book as default for ADD/Delete operations" When you add an address, it's the groups for the default address book that are listed in the group selector.
