To prevent wrapping, toggle off auto-wrap or use the alternative plain
text editor that doesn't wrap text on sending.

Additionally, PGP/MIME is likely being triggered as well.

When sending mail to Nominet, after opening the message to send, go to
the editor's privacy menu and select PGP/MIME/Off.

Try again and tell us what happens.
