Hi,

I have been using TB 1.48d (the Christmas edition) on a Windows ME system
happily and without a hitch for years. A week ago, I changed from my old
computer to a new machine with Windows XP, reinstalled my software and migrated
my data.

Everything went successfully but The Bat!

The Bat! no longer works. It thinks it is a brand new program, telling me I
have X number of days left in this trial period, and will not find or recognize
any of my old folders, which are sitting right there in TB's directory.

I am now unable to gain access to my folders in TB, along with their several
thousands of acrhived personal and business emails, or my sorting rules or
anything else. This is a professional catastrophe. I am using webmail on an
emergency basis, which is better than a stone and chisel and a carrier condor,
but not too much (or so it feels).

I know there is a relatively simple way to correct this, but those archived
nstructions exist in one of the folders that the newly reinstalled TB will not
recognize and thus I can't get at them. I have done a search in TBUDL
archives, but can't find anything.

Please, I'm willing to relicense the program. I happy to download and purchase
the newest version. Anything to make TB functional for me again.

Does anyone have access to the magic bullet, or a simple three-step miraculous
procedure? Can you tell me how to get my beloved Bat back, along with all its
records and many marvelous sorting rules?

Thank you immensely (he said, sinking slowly into the dark pit of webmail).

Be well,
Jerry
