Here's what went wrong: You forgot to backup and transfer the registry
key. That contains all the vital bits like your registration code,
your account names and where the folders are.

If you still have the old computer, run up RegEdit and locate the
HKLM/Software/Rit key and export it. Import it to the new system and
try again.

Because you've already been running it in nobbled mode on the new
system, you may need to re-add your accounts to get them up properly.
To do this, add them with the *exact same name*. TB will find the
folders and, after a quick confirm by you, import the mail.
