I presume you have good protection against one of the "dialer" virus/worms/spies. I haven't been on dial-up in over a year. However, in The Bat!'s main window under Options/Network and Administration there's a "No automatical dial for periodical checking" setting, in addition to the set-up settings in Account/Properties. Do you have that ticked? Further place of settings in XP is Control Panel/Phone and Modem Options. and Network Connections, as I'm sure that you already know. Back when I was on Dial-up, running version 1.62 of TB!, the no- automatic-dial-up through the Account/Properties settings worked perfectly for me, just as it did for you under Win98. Help/Help Topics/Index/Connection to the Internet discusses LAN and non-LAN set-ups and other considerations of dial-up networking, in case you might find some help there. -- Best regards, Mary The Bat! 3.0.2.10 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
