And other mail clients I use give a temporary filename just like TB. :-)

No, I store attachments in the messagebase as well. Its just not
important for me what the attachments name is when I open it from within
TB. If I want to keep it, I save it to my harddisk anyway and, depending
on the size, remove it from the message in TB.
