I have a few people who *really* don't like the way that I "corrupt"
e-mails by quoting extracts in my reply!

Yes, they are all Outlook users, who also think that bottom posting is
evil.

I'm not going to be able to change this, and have fixed the tip/bottom
posting in the users' reply templates.

As for keeping the whole message in tact, can anyone suggest a way
that a macro might be able to effectively turn my "reply quoting
selected text" into a regular F5 Reply?

I suspect that the answer is "no", but have been proved wrong many
times in the past.
