When using PGP or GPG from within TB!, the keys are selected automatically based on email addresses. If there's more than one key with the same address, it either gives you a choice or picks the first one it found (I'm told this depends on which TB! version, current versions should let you pick.) I don't know how TB! handles things if more than one recipient. If you are using gpg from the command line you have to state the recipient.
