I don't use threading at all, and when the lag
happens, it doesn't matter what I try to do.

What makes me wonder is why TB doesn't show up as
a running program in the Task Manager anymore. I
know it used to. Is this something the newer
version does, or is it part of the problem.

No idea how fragmented they are. I do regular
defrag on the hard drive, but am not sure if
that's what you mean.
