Simply as a means to a speedy end to this strike, I would encourage folks to
tell your legislators to support the Hornstein / Dibble proposal at the
Legislature to increase transit funding by $10 million, in order to help
settle the strike.

But with a major caveat

The bill should be ushered through fast, to see if it has any chance of
passage. The transit dependent's interest doesn't lie in political
maneuvers at the Legislature that benefit union drivers, they just want a
ride to work and to the doctor. If we are going to have to wait weeks for
an answer, forget it, its not worth it. Settle now, legislate later.
