I don't think this bill has a chance in the world of passing. Neither the Republicans nor the outstate DFL legislators have anything to gain by spending another $10 million. The Met Council holds all of the good cards right now. Here's another thought. Say they do pass the additional $10 million in funding. Where will that money come from? I think we all know (like it or not) that taxes are not going to be raised this year. That means somebody else won't get the money. When it's gone, it's gone.
