Newbies to tech writing in general, not to this list in particular. People who are new to the field tend to have a bunch of the same questions: - I'm thinking about becoming a technical writer. How do I get started? What education is required? Is a tech writing certificate necessary? - What's the best software to use for printed manuals? What about for online help? - Is Word good for long documents? And what's with my numbering being all messed up?!? - What's a good style guide to use? How do you know when to use it and when to ignore what it says? There are many other common questions. These are just a few off the top of my head. Could this be the start of the list that Milan suggested or the FAQs as Guy asked? :-) Donna - CONFIDENTIAL- This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential, and may also be legally privileged.
