************* Clarkson Tech has a long history of collaboration with SUNY Potsdam, so the "state college" they're talking about is almost certainly State University of New York but any specific questions should probably be directed to them. Clarkson and SUNY Potsdam share one of those teeny tiny Adirondack college towns -- college kids 50,000, townies 10,000. I wish I had taken advantage of the Clarkson courses I could have taken at SUNY tuition levels while I was there. I'm glad to see colleges offering certification courses. I'm not really sure I want to commit to a Master's in Technical Communication because it's a) expensive, and b) it could "overqualify" or "overprice" me out of the jobs I really want. I guess I could put it under hobbies on my resume. But I could get an official certificate in Framemaker? That's certainly specific, and carries more weight than listing it as an online course.
