Hi. Header/Footer $1 uses "eCopy ShareScan OP Installation Guide". The master page uses Running H/F 3, which uses the <$marker1> building block, which in turn uses the value defined for Header/Footer $1.
We will need to change the product name in the next release, which means we will have to change the Marker Text for Header/Footer $1 in every file in the book. There are currently between 180-200 files in the master book file (from which I generate vendor-specific books). I changed the text in one file and attempted to import all formats into another file (as a test). FrameMaker does not appear to bring in the changed Marker Text. I've looked on the MicroType site and in the Adobe Forums and done a general Google search for "how to import marker text". All I've found is a tool from Leximation that may do the trick. However, before taking that approach, I wonder whether any of you know whether there is a way to modify the marker text in one file and import it into all the others. Or, should we put a variable with the book title on the master page and use the Running H/F only for page numbering? Thanks!
