Wow. We don't argue these things at work. We're too busy orchestrating the developers' efforts in documenting their C# code using doc comments and chasing after business cases from which to design the documentation. ;) I'd honestly call it an "accent mark", much for the same reason people call "it" a "PIN number". Familiarity. Translators know what you mean and adjust accordingly, unless your translator is a machine, in which case abandon all hope. LOL!
