I have no idea what version the file is, but Frame 7.2 won't import it. I get a message that an error occurred during file translation.
This file is for a group that I belong to and that I will likely be doing some documentation and/or DTP for in the future. I sent a draft of a flyer in Word so the group could see it during a meeting that I couldn't attend. They wanted some changes made right away so they could mail it, and it somehow wound up in Ventura. If there's no easy way to get from Ventura into something else, I'll just have to ask for Word or text-only files in the future. I was hoping there would be a simple and FREE solution. Thanks, Sean! FrameMaker has import filters for Ventura (at least, version 6 did) that handles Ventura 4.2 files. Otherwise, I think you're out of luck. You might need to scrounge up a copy of Ventura 8, try ebay, it shouldn't be too costly, or, outsource the job. Some versions of Ventura use files in addition to the PUB that are critical. I think I have Ventura 8 lying around somewhere .... Cheers, Sean - CONFIDENTIAL- This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential, and may also be legally privileged.
