I heard about TCP from Techwr-L. My career path went something like this:
- Administrative Roles - Systems Trainer - Systems Analyst - National Product Support Specialist - Documentation Specialist - Technical Writer (over 10 years now) I live in Keswick, Ontario (Canada) and work in Stouffville, Ontario. In my previous job, I telecommuted 100% of the time, now I only telecommute 2 days a week. I document software applications, currently for a company that develops applications for the financial industry (banks, trust companies, credit unions, etc.). I have no formal education as a technical writer (although I have taken one-off courses such as documenting for ISO 9000, etc.) and I have learned so much from the techwriting community and lists such as this. I will even be so bold as to say that I get more from lists like this, than I do from the STC (of which I am now a senior member).
