Hi, Al:

Saving all open files saves some size and screen-position settings
that may retain the off-screen location. Is it possible that you did
one or more of the following operations that could strand your file
off the visible screen:

* Switched from a physical or virtual multiple-monitor setup to a
single-monitor?
* Changed screen resolution from high to a lower one?
* Resized the sheet or book window to a small size?
* Moved the sheet or book window close to a screen edge?
* Worked in Maximize view, reduced the size of the Excel's application
window, saved all open files and books, and closed Excel?
* Worked under a different user name?

Opening Excel after doing one or a combination of these operations
could park the files off the visible screen. Have you looked at the
Window menu to see if any file is active?

Some possible fixes for the above:
* Log in to all possible accounts and launch the file from each.
* Increase the screen resolution to the maximum, to reveal everything
that might be on screen.
* Maximize the Excel application window.
* Reconnect the multiple monitors, or restore the virtual multiple screens.
* If the Window menu indicates a file is active, but you can't see it,
Maximize the Excel window, with the keystroke combination Alt+-(minus)
to open the document's Control menu, then scroll to Move, press Enter,
and use the arrow keys to move the selected off-screen document on
screen. If Move is grayed out, but Restore is active, select Restore
and press enter to restore the document window to its former smaller
size, then repeat the attempt with Move. If Alt+-(minus) doesn't work,
no file is active.

HTH

Regards,

Peter
